Turki Al Dakhil is a Saudi Arabian Media man and journalist. He has been working in journalism since 1989. He worked for several Saudi and Gulf press institutions as a journalist and a columnist. Some of the newspapers and magazines he worked for are mainly “Arriyadh”, “Okadh” “Asharq Al Awsat” “The Economist Magazine”, “Al Hayat” “Al Ittihad” (UAE), “Aljarida” (Kuwait), “Al Waqt” and “Al Watan (Bahrain.)
Turki Al Dakhil studied at the Sunna Department of Al Imam Mohamed Bin Saud Islamic University. He was awarded the master's degree in Islamic studies from Al Makassed University in Beirut. He also attended specialized courses in photography, press writing and management of web sites in the United States.
In the media field, Al Dakhil worked as a political correspondent for Radio Monte Carlo in Saudi Arabia and then a Political Correspondent for MBC FM before later joining the MBC and later the Al Arabiya TV, the channel he contributed to its establishment. He also established the Elaph Electronic Site and Al Arabiya.net of which he has been the general manager since 2007.
Of his most famous programmes is “Eda’at”, a weekly open talk show, broadcast on Al Arabiya TV Channel and Radio Panorama for a period of ten years.
Al Dhakhil has many publications, most important of which are “I was in Afghanistan”, “Saudis in America”, “ A Jewel in the Hands of a Collier”, “We Are but a Band of Blind men”, Salman - Return from Prison to enlightenment” and “Al Gusaibi Told Me”
In 2007, he won the "Dialogue Master" title in a survey organized by Rotana Magazine and in 2009 he was named "Best Saudi Announcer" in a survey held by Riyadh Newspaper. He has been selected among the most influential Arab personalities according to the Arabian Business magazine for more than four times, the most recent of which was in 2012 when he ranked 29th on the Arabian Business list of the world’s 100 most powerful Saudis.
In 2014, Al Dhakhil won the Annual American Abroad Media (AAM) Award in Washington, for his efforts in developing civil society, promoting tolerance and gender equality and protecting minority rights.
In 2015, he was granted the Arab Social Media Influencers Award - Media category of social networking pioneers in Dubai in his capacity as one of the most influential journalists on social media networks.
